YES to Future Hope
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Lord Jehovah, the existing one and eternal God,
we come to you with thanksgiving in all things.
Today we come before you,
in an era marked by declining moral values and social cohesion with high inflation.
We experience rising living costs, challenging health care access and affordability issues.
We see drug addiction and substance abuse, gun violence, crime, border pressures.
There is evidence of oppression and racism, and emergencies seem everywhere
with federal job layoffs, national budget deficits, food insecurity, poverty,
and wickedness threatening high places.
But just as you gave hope to the exiled Israelites in Babylon,
to your prophet Jeremiah, assuring them that even in hardship
you are still in control
and that your ultimate purpose was to restore them,
to give them hope and a future,
we're renewed and filled with the same assurance and the same hope
that today you are still in control and your plan is to care for us,
to ensure our complete welfare and our blessed future.
So we thank you for reminding us, amid all the chaos,
that you, our Heavenly Father, have good plans for us all
and are trustworthy even in these difficult times.
Give us the strength and the fortitude
to hold on to your promise of restoration and renewal
that comes daily through the power of Your Holy Spirit.
You have declared a YES over our future as your people, and we thank you.
Thank you for giving us the assurance today!
Through Jesus Christ our Lord,
the hope of glory who guarantees our continued restoration….
You're the same God who speaks over our families, our purpose, and our entire lives.
We ask you to renew our hope and speak a “yes” to our prayer requests now.
We believe your promises in the name of Jesus,
Amen.
