YES to Spiritual Boldness

Micah 3:8
But as for me, I am filled with power,
with the Spirit of the LORD,
and with justice and might,
to declare to Jacob his transgression,
to Israel his sin.

Holy and Mighty God,
we praise you for the power and presence
of your Holy Spirit
who empowers ordinary people
to do extraordinary things,
because we have been born of your Spirit.
Like Micah who declared, “I am filled with power, with
the Spirit of the Lord and with justice,”
we stand today
asking for that same spirit-filled boldness.

God, you know where we have shrunk back in fear,
remained silent when we should have spoken,
even compromised when we should have stood firm,
or hesitated when you were calling us to come forward.
Forgive us in the name of Jesus Christ,
and reposition us in your boldness.

In this season of yes, we ask you
to clothe us with supernatural courage
as we face our daily challenges,
challenges in our schoolwork, in our homes,
and our ministries.
Fill us with boldness that is rooted not in pride,
but in the power of your Spirit.
And give us humility to go with your courage.

Make us bold in prayer, bold in preaching,
bold in witnessing, bold and loving people!
Bold in confronting injustice, bold in praying for others,
and bold in carrying out Christ's name without shame.

Destroy every timid spirit that dilutes our calling,
that whispers in our ears or diminishes our witness.
Holy Spirit, rise up in us --
until we operate in your authority,
until we preach with your resurrection power,
until we walk in your truth
and speak with your conviction.

God, in the power of Jesus,
we say yes to your spirit of boldness.
Today, in your miraculous name we pray,
Amen.
