YES to Spirit Victory

Zechariah 4:6
So he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD
to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power,
but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.

Holy Lord and God of glory,
we honor you today as the God who declares
not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit.
Thank you that victory does not come
through human strategy, willpower,
intelligence, or resources,
but through the unstoppable power of your Holy Spirit.
As Zerubbabel faced an impossible mountain,
you assured him that the Spirit would bring victory.

And today we stand in need of that same assurance.
Now, God, as we face our mountains, sickness,
mental and spiritual fatigue, bereavement,
marital problems, unemployment,
trouble that we brought upon ourselves,
or the testings that you lead us through,
we ask that you would assure us,
as you assured your servant Zerubbabel,
that your Spirit will bring us victory in 2026.
We thank you for this victory!

We confess that we have tried
to fight battles in our own strength
and have grown tired.
We've tried to fix problems with human reasoning,
only to discover that human power falls short
every time.
But today, in this year of your YES,
we surrender every battle internally and externally.
We surrender to the power of Your Holy Spirit.

Bring victory over fear. Bring victory over doubt,
confusion, and addiction.
Bring victory over depression, discernment,
over spiritual warfare, and over any obstacles
that stand in our way.
Do what only you can do--and that is to give us victory.
Let your Spirit bulldoze every mountain
and straighten every crooked place as you go before us.
As you, God, straighten every crooked road.

Bring down every mountain,
and tear down the iron gates.
And give to us the “city!”
God, we say yes to your spirit of victory.
